Details of our club sessions
The Bowmen of Rutland have an outdoor range at Greetham Valley with targets permanently set out at various distances. The range is open to club members throughout the year. During the winter (October to March) we also shoot indoors on Monday and Friday nights at Casterton College Rutland near Stamford. Our members shoot the four main archery disciplines; these are recurve bow, compound bow, longbow and bare bow. Some members of the club will compete at County, National and International level. Others prefer to shoot for pleasure within the club. Over the course of the year, the club arranges a number of competitions and enters team into several postal leagues. We also run a number of beginners’ courses and have a go sessions for anyone thinking of taking up archery. We are always keen to welcome new members regardless of age, ability or disability. Integrated within the Bowmen of Rutland there are separate junior and disabled archery clubs.
