Club History

The Bowmen of Rutland Archery Club was formed in 1976 and is the only target archery club in England's smallest county. We have been at our outdoor venue at Greetham Valley Golf Club for over 25 years. Indoors we shoot on a Monday evening at Casterton College Rutland, we have been using this venue for more than 25 years. We also shoot on a Friday evening, we used to shoot at Greetham Community Centre, we then moved to Catmose College and then five years ago we moved our Friday session to Caster College Rutland. We have over 100 members who come from the surrounding counties of Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire as well as Rutland.

We have seven Honorary Members, this honour is awarded to members for outstanding service to the club over a long number of year. Our Honorary Members are Pam Tonkin, Jenny Parker, Tony Naylor, Richard Custance, Susan Custance, Peter Fox and Chrissie Mortlock.
